At the top of the page you will want to briefly summarize your skills and what you have to offer the employer, this is a very important piece of the resume if not the most important part, make sure you are brief and straight to the point! Make sure to compliment yourself and your skills, for example use keywords and turn them into statements that can easily sum everything up in one sentence such as- Over seven years of experience in implementing, developing and managing complex projects with the ability to meet deadlines and time constraints with ease and accuracy.
After your Name, address, contact information, and possibly a resume objective statement, you can begin to focus on what matters the most to the employer. Will they be more impressed with your education, or do they care more about your experience, or are they looking for specific qualifications. The job description for any particular position will give you a clue as to what is important to the employer. (And yes, I am suggesting you prepare a specific resume for each specific position you are applying for).
But how can you guarantee that your resume will not only turnout in the mile-long pile of applicants and legal candidates in the HR department? There is basically no guaranteed answer for that query but here are some tips that will be (with a bit of luck) useful for you just in case you are still not receiving any phone calls. A resume is your first step to get noticed. Every time bear in mind that your resume is the paper representation of you. What is in print there should be truthful and informs the HR staff all about you, why to hire you, what were your endeavors and what can you do for the organization. These are the essential components of a resume, that is your cover letter, your personal information, your accomplishments and your references.
